The Angels collected a "W" last night over the White Sox. This was a make-up game from rain 2 Saturday's ago.
The clan had a great Memorial Day weekend. We took our son out of school Thurs/Fri and left for OBX right after his game Wednesday night. Although arriving at midnight, cold ones were had and we kicked-off a weekend of great weather and good bike rides. I've got a favorite Duck to Corolla ride that I like. I end up going North or South first with a quick check of the wind. Most of the wind this weekend was out of the Southwest off the Sound so I spin that way first, toward Kittyhawk. Downtown Duck can get a bit tricky. We had a lot of visitors over the holiday weekend. When they hit Duck shops they tend to walk in the bike lanes. While we have a paved jogging/walking path it's an absolute no-go for fast riding. Cars coming out of the neighborhoods just don't pay attention to any activity on those paths. I've come close to having my life ended on the one occasion I did try it. If you can believe it, the driver was actually mad at me. Go figure.... I did my best to give him a new paradigm.
Anyhow, it's still the best set of flat, good roads and makes for great rides if the wind isn't howling.

Your weekend sounded like a great time. You challenged my memory as I retraced your bike route from the time we stayed in Corolla. What a neat place.
I'm more than willing to have you back there and do some great riding.
