The photo at right is the "Tarmac" at FCI filled with CAP planes. While we always have 1 aircraft stationed at our hangar, it was nice to see 8 other aircraft completely filling all of that empty blacktop we usually have. Closest is a 172P. The second aircraft is CAP's latest aircraft with the latest "glass" cockpit, the Garmin 1000. Nice equipment.

Successful Weekend
The rains kept a perimeter around our weekend activities and threatened a few times, finally letting loose on Saturday night, well after our main activities ended. The Angels got in 2 baseball games, 1 win 1 loss. The win was preserved after holding off a last inning rally by the Orioles.
The Virginia Wing Search & Rescue Evaluation was a success. Aircraft, aircrews, ground crews and vans travelled to FCI, our home base, from all over the state. Over a dozen missions were planned and executed with everyone arriving back safely. Our squadron served up food as a fundraiser and we did the best we have ever done. We have a great set of folks, both adults (seniors) and cadets. We were also the largest squadron present by far at approximately 27 members. It's a great organization to be a a part of.
